Practice Gaps Webinar Series

Webinar Oncology & Hematology Rare / Genetic Disease Neurological Disorder
Date: Dec 2022 - May 2023
Time: N/A
Location: Online
Summary
The Practice Gaps Webinar Series takes a deep dive into the clinical practice gaps identified by the study which found that  64.4% of cancer patients do not receive the right treatment and presents real world case studies on the solutions that stakeholders can implement to close each practice gap and be part of the change.
Episode 1: Understanding the challenges the precision medicine industry faces in ensuring every patient receives the right therapy for them, a NSCLC case study

The first webinar in our Practice Gaps Series introduces the first JCO-published study revealing that only around a third of non-small cell lung cancer patients ultimately receive the treatment. It's where the conversation begins on the real barriers still standing between precision medicine and the patients who need it.

Episode 2: A deep dive into clinical practice gaps 1-4, and the solutions stakeholders can implement to close each practice gap, ensuring every patient receives the right treatment

In the second webinar in the Practice Gaps Series, we explore the first four "pre-analytical" practice gaps in the precision medicine patient journey, which together cause around 35% of patients to fall through the cracks. Through real-world data, case studies, and insights on IVDR's impact, it reveals how targeted, multi-stakeholder strategies can close these gaps and ensure more patients get the right treatment.

Episode 3: Using real world evidence driven strategies to engage physicians at the treatment decision stage of the patient journey

In the third and final instalment in the Practice Gaps webinar series we analyzed the impact of gaps 5-7 on the patient journey with a focus on the treatment decision gap and the benefits of implementing a real world evidence driven strategy to target and engage physicians before treatment decisions have been made.
